Naval Forces Modelmaking includes surface and sub-surface models. From aircraft carriers to nuclear submarines, fast patrol boats to rigid inflatable’s. Lawson’s have made models of all of these and many different vessels in between.

Land Forces forms the second arm of our Defence models portfolio. Modelmaking in this sector encompasses all types of Modelmaking from armoured vehicles to small arms and even models of military bases.

Aerospace Modelmaking forms part of our Defence portfolio. Lawson’s have worked for the defence industries both in UK and overseas for over 25 years gaining a wealth of experience and expertise in this area of Modelmaking.

Engine and turbine models can be extremely complex and require the highest standards of modelmaking. Some of our turbine models have been travelling the world exhibition circuit for more than 20 years with just the occasional visit back to our workshops for minor renovation.

Our Marine Engineering portfolio contains models such as ships stabilisers, propellers and propulsors. It also includes diesel generators and other marine engineering models.

Mechanical Engineering models are one of our specialities. Several of Lawson Modelmakers' staff are trained engineers including the principle, who is an aerospace engineer. This allows us to better understand the complexities of our client’s products, and is highly advantageous when it comes to the realisation of scale models of prototypes and concept .
