Problem

Perkins produce both large and small engines for many different applications, and exhibit them round the world. A major consideration when choosing which engines to display has always been the cost of transportation and the amount of floor space a large engine takes up on an exhibition stand.

Solution

Lawson's have produced not only a 1:4 scale Main Battle Tank engine model, but also two further models displaying two different engines fitted to the respective vehicles. This has been extremely successful, and the models have been displayed in several different countries. The most challenging model was a Czechoslovakian T72 Main Battle Tank fitted with the Perkins CV12 engine. Understandably there was very little information relating to this vehicle, which meant that the model was constructed using mainly photographs and what little information was available.
